Three Dips to Try At Your Super Bowl Party

Our contributor Ashley shares three tried and true dips to try at your super bowl party!

One of my most meaningful gifts that I got from my bridal shower was a recipe book that was sent out to my guests for them to fill out with their favorite recipes. They gifted an entire binder full of family favorites for me to have as a start to my marriage and future family.

I recently went through it looking for dinner ideas and realized that I had several dishes that people recommended for a good “football Sunday” meal. I thought I would share it with you as we are approaching such a busy weekend with the Phoenix open and Super Bowl.

Three Dips to Try At Your Super Bowl Party

Touchdown Taco Dip

Ingredients- 1 can refried beans (16 oz), 8oz softened cream cheese, 1tbs taco seasoning mix, 2 pressed garlic cloves, ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese, ½ cup chopped pitted olives, 1 medium tomato chopped, 2 tbs cilantro snipped, ¼ cup thinly sliced green onions with tops.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread refried brains over bottom of baking dish. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and Taco seasoning. Add pressed garlic and mix well. Spread over refried beans. Shredded cheese over the top. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until hot. Spread olives, cilantro, tomatoes, and onions over the top. Garnish with sour cream if desired.

Shrimp Dip

Ingredients- 8 ounces of cream cheese, 16 oz sour cream, 2 pouches of good seasons Italian salad dressing, two small cans of tiny shrimp.

Soften the cream cheese. Mix all ingredients. Chill and serve with chips.

This is best if made a day in advance. Great for football Sunday!

Cheesy Corn Dip

Ingredients- 1 8oz sour cream, 3/4th cup Mayo, ¾ tsp cumin, 3 11 oz cans Mexican corn drained, 2 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 17 oz can of diced green chilies, two third cup green onions diced.

Mix all ingredients, chill, serve with tortilla chips.

I hope you can enjoy one if not all three of these dips for your Super bowl Sunday!
