Elevating Your Nutcracker Experience

Food Ideas

One of the highlights of Christmas are the decadent desserts. These Sugar Plum Fairy Cupcakes look amazing and would be a show stopper during your Nutcracker viewing party.

As a nod to the Mouse King, it seems fitting to snack on some cheese and crackers while you enjoy the show.

It could also be fun to practice crushing some shelled nuts using a nutcracker – watch out for little fingers!

Craft Ideas

One of the joys of watching The Nutcracker from home is that you can pause or even wrap presents while watching the show. Here are some cute Nutcracker-inspired crafts to keep your little ones engaged while watching.

Whether you get dressed up and go downtown to see the show live on stage each December or you prefer Disney’s version of the classic production, there’s so much magic and wonder to be experienced with this fairy tale ballet.

  1. I am so glad you wrote this! One of my favorite traditions is to take my girls to the Nutcracker – and this will be perfect!

    • YAY! This is one of our favorite traditions too. I have to say, it was kind of fun to watch it from home in pajamas while eating popcorn and drinking cocoa. 🙂
