It’s summer and it’s hot which makes it a perfect time to go indoors and read! Here are some great summer reading programs to keep your kiddos busy and reading!
Public Libraries
The Scottsdale Public Library has a great summer program this year. You can sign up online or at the library to participate. Kids can win coupons to Chipotle or free books and the big kids (teens) can enter to win iPads, iPods or MacBooks.

Also check the programs and events going on this summer at the Phoenix Public Library – they have some great stuff happening too!
Barnes & Noble
At Barnes & Noble they are giving away a FREE book this summer to our little readers. Children in grades 1st through 6th can earn a FREE BOOK this summer when they participate in the Barnes & Noble summer reading program.

A friend of mine went to the library in Chandler and her son got free coupons for tons of stuff, skateland, chipotle, ice cream cone. Tons of stuff!
Thanks Charlie! Our local public libraries are fantastic! Thanks for the info.
Half priced books has a GREAT summer reading program. Log at least 300 minutes per month (you can do both June & July) to turn in for a $5 gift certificate. A lot of their books are $1.99. Great deal!
Thank you Stacy for the tip! Can’t beat half priced books!
