After three years of stressing over throwing DIY parties at the local park for my oldest, I was ready for a change. Especially since the Scottsdale weather loves to play tricks on us at the end of March. Last year we were at the park in 90 degree heat! Thankfully my husband had been camped out at the park since 8am to score a covered ramada (poor guy). Well, no more of that! This year we had her party at an indoor party venue. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the climate control to a decorated space reserved just for us, to the party hosts who made it all happen, I was actually able to sit back and take it all in instead of running around like a crazy person trying to get it all done.
Before you start your party planning, be sure to check out these popular Valley birthday party locations that offer unique fun for the birthday child and his/her friends and (most importantly) less stress for you! Note: this is not a sponsored post, just some honest recommendations from a local mama!
Creative Parties: Rachel’s Young At Art Studio
A big art studio created especially for little ones, owner Rachel Ober wants your children to explore their creative side through sensory and multimedia art projects designed for young minds. (Window painting anyone?) Birthday parties offer a choice of theme (like a pretend wine and paint party!) and related art activities, or you can create a custom experience based on your child’s interests.
Also great for creative parties: As You Wish Pottery Painting Place
Large indoor group parties: Pump It Up
Pizza Parties: Peter Piper Pizza
Pizza and games at your house… stressful. Pizza and games at Peter Piper Pizza… fun and easy! Pizza, drinks, and tokens are included in the party package, along with decorations and a party host. The birthday child even gets to build his/her own pizza! Pricing is per child which can be helpful if you’re not sure how many guests you’ll have or if you end up with no-shows. You’re only charged for the number of children that are there the day of the party.
Sweet Treat Parties: Cerreta Candy Factory
Did you know there’s a candy factory right here in the Valley? A real-life Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The Cerreta Candy Factory grants party guests VIP status which allows them access to a mini factory tour and the opportunity to build their very own chocolate pizza. Sounds like a sweet party!
Museum Party: Children’s Museum of Phoenix
Fitness & Sports Party: Xtreme Gymnastics
You don’t need to be a professional gymnast to enjoy a gymnastics party. Trained coaches lead guests through activities that utilize the gym equipment in a recreational way (who doesn’t like to bounce on a giant trampoline?!), followed by cake time in a decorated party room.
Also great for fitness and sports parties: Glow Putt Mini Golf
A word to the wise: Many venues only have the space for one birthday party at a time and the most popular venues book up quickly. Be sure to book your party early, at least two months in advance.
