There is nothing I love more than getting out with the hubby for a date night at a new restaurant. Aww…just saying that makes me want to arrange a sitter for this weekend so can do that!
A month or so back we were able to do just that. And let me tell you…it was GLORIOUS! Even the anticipation of getting out of the house for a much needed date night makes our home a buzz.
This particular night we went to Beckett’s Table. My dear friend, Brittany (SMB’s own Belly Diaries writer), had given Beckett’s Table rave reviews and so I was excited to check it out for myself.
We hadn’t made reservations (take it from us – make reservations!) so the wait was 1.5-2 hrs BUT luckily we were able to snatch a couple seats in the full-service bar area! I wasn’t complaining…we were out on a date! As a mama – I was just happy to be free AND be guaranteed hot food (served and prepared by someone other than myself).
We started with probably our favorite part of our meal – Beckett’s Original Grilled Cheese (to-die for peeps), followed by an order of the Pork Osso Buco Confit and the Fork Tender Short Ribs. Slurp…let’s just say we loved every bite of each of these dishes. Now we had every intention of getting a dessert (specifically the Chocolate Dipped Bacon S’mores) but our bellies were just too full. I know…sad.
Everything about our evening at Beckett’s Table was WONDERFUL! We definitely give it 5 stars and are already trying to find a time real soon when we can go back!
