Happy December! It’s that time of year where we drag boots out of the closet, dust off snow hats and get into the holiday spirit. For those of us with kids, this also usually means doing a Santa visit-and-photo experience. In Scottsdale, there are several exciting Santa exhibits and activities where you can experience all the events these establishments have to offer, and capture some fabulous photos as well. Scottsdale Fashion Square has a brand new Santa HQ located in the food court. The Santa HQ includes an elf workshop, interactive games, a naughty and nice meter, and of course a place to take Santa photos. The new exhibit is impressive and is a must-see for the kids while getting your Christmas shopping done at the mall.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
One of our favorite Christmas activities is going to the train park at night to see the festive holiday lights. You can take a ride on the train through the light displays and experience a winter wonderland. Make sure you stop by Hartley’s Ice Cream shop to grab a hot cocoa or coffee, and don’t forget to visit Santa in the famous Pullman train car.

The Phoenician Resort is a magical place to be during the holidays. They offer a Daddy and Daughter tea every December, which is a must-do if you have a daughter who loves tea-time. They also offer a Breakfast with Santa where your family can enjoy an amazing breakfast at the resort, followed by a visit with Santa and cookie decorating.

This has become one of our favorite places to go during the holidays. With a 6,000 sq foot ice skating rink, a lighted lagoon train ride and new Christmas Carousel to ride, this will surely become your child’s favorite event as well.

Nice! We went to the Fairmont to see Santa last weekend and he was great with my two boys. I was at the Arizona Mills today and the Santa there was quite magical and very attentive to the children who passed by. The best part, it wasn’t crowded at all!
