Last week my husband and I enjoyed an Arizona staycation at The Strawberry Inn. We wanted to stay fairly close to home but still far enough away that we could explore some fun places that we have never visited, and of course try some new eateries!
Strawberry is located just north of Payson and easily accessible from any part of Arizona! You can take the I17 and cut east through Camp Verde or use the Beeline Highway (87). We shot straight up the Beeline Highway from Shea and arrived in a little over an hour.
The Strawberry Inn was definitely easy for us to find. The main Inn is located right off of the main road that runs right through this quaint town. You can’t miss the gorgeous facade, the fun windmill and the strawberry sign that greet you upon arrival.
Our accommodations were located just across the road and down the street at the lower park. We were pleasantly surprised by the tiny cottage we pulled up to. A cute little place with a cozy front and back porch, kitchenette, living room, dining room, double sink for the bathroom, shower and kin sized bed in the bedroom.
It was so convenient when we arrived because we checked in a few days earlier online, a special code was emailed to us when our room was available, and we used that code on the keypad to access the cottage.
And wow, what a surprise! I just adored the quaint cottage feel as soon as we arrived. From the bright white facade, the ceramic wood tile, white ship lap walls and the crisp-clean decor, we felt right at home!
We stayed in a cottage with a king sized bed and pull out couch in the living room. Up to 4 people can enjoy the cottage and still have room to stretch out and relax. I can’t forget to mention the private hot tub just outside. After a long day of hiking, it was nice to come back and soak our sore muscles.
I’d love to share some questions I’ve been asked about my stay and hopefully the answers will be helpful to you in your decision making.
