Story Times Around Scottsdale

2

I am so happy to announce that story times are FINALLY back up and going. I don’t think many have been open since pre-pandemic therefore my little guy has yet to be at any sort of story time. My daughter loved going to the Scottsdale Library when she was little to do Books to Boogie and the little craft times that they use to offer. Scottsdale Library is slowly rolling out their story times and starting to offer more at your select neighborhood locations so, make sure to keep an eye out. I follow them on social media and found that is the best place to see weekly updates.

Here are a few that I found:

Story time at the Park by Playdates by Design– 9:30am every Monday at Cactus park. I believe you may have to sign up ahead of time and there is a small $10 fee. Play Dates by Design has a large parachute that she brings, books, and small toys for kids to enjoy.

Twos and Threes Together Storytime– These are offered at several neighborhood libraries and focus on age-appropriate books and activities.

  • Thursdays @ Civic Center (10:30-11:00am)
  • Wednesdays @ Mustang Library (10:30-11:00am)
  • Tuesdays @ Arabian Library (10:15-10:45am and 11:00-11:30am)

Family Storytime- Bring your entire family for this fun and engaging storytime at Mustang Library! Every Tuesday from 10:30-11:00am.

Storytime at the Train Park– McCormick Stillman Railroad Park is now doing Storytime every Wednesday at 10:00am now through May 18th. This is directed by a former Kindergarten teacher. There are instruments, finger puppets, stories, and songs. This is outside on the lawn so bring a large blanket to sit on!

Babies and Toddler Story Time– Modern Milk is also hosting a story time at 9:30am Thursday mornings. This is done by Playdates by Design who also does the Cactus park location on Mondays. There is a sign up through Modern Milk and a $10 fee.

Enjoy this beautiful weather, free story times, and something engaging for littles to enjoy. Happy reading!
