The new year is here and with that our fitness goals have arrived, too. I have three healthy and easy treats that are perfect for snacking or dessert. These are are all great for batch making with the kids and having throughout the week for an easy on the go treat. They require 10-15 minutes to prepare and many of these ingredients are some we may already have at home. So, let’s get started!
No bake energy bites:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup peanut butter, creamy
- 1 cup oats, old-fashioned raw
- 6 tbsp chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup golden flaxseed meal, ground
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup coconut, toasted sweetened
Combine ingredients and roll into balls. Store in fridge and enjoy!
Rice cake treats:
You will need:
- Rice cakes
- Peanut butter
- Chocolate chips + 1 teaspoon coconut oil when melting in the microwave
Let it freeze for 15 minutes before eating.
- 1 1/2 cup bananas, ripe
1/2 cup cacao powder
- 1/2 cup almond butter, smooth
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup chocolate chip
2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 pinch sea salt
Combine ingredients and place batter on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
