The other day, I was racing home from school to run inside, drop some kids off, pick some kids up, make two sippy cups of milk, refill the diaper bag, and take my oldest to choir. As I glanced up to open the gate, the sweetest gift was resting on the top of the gate. There was a note that said ‘You’ve Been Booed‘ and instructions on how to do it to the next person.
It absolutely made my day. There is nothing like a good surprise to cheer me up and put a little spring in my step.
I feel like fall is always such a perfect time to show kindness to your neighbors. The weather is nice, so everyone is outside planting flowers and taking walks. We are about to ring each other’s doorbells with adorable munchkins in tow. It’s such a great time to renew those relationships and say hello.
I’ve made you a few printables if you’d like to join in on the fun!
Simply click on the picture above to attach this to your gift.
Add these instructions so that they know what to do.
(Be sure to tag #smbcommunity so that we can see all the fun everyone is having!)
Finally, if you’d like, you can print this sign to put on your front door to let others know that you’ve already been booed, so that they can do it to someone else.
Just in case you need a little inspiration, here is a short list of some ideas to put in your gift:
- fall colored dish cloths
- little pumpkins
- hand lotion
- cute little scarecrows
- apple cider packets
Let us know what else we should add!
