As all of our older kids head back to school, mamas with toddlers are now able to focus on more age appropriate and fun outings to keep them busy during the week. I found a few spots that are age appropriate, FREE, and active to insure we get them tired for that long-awaited naptime. September in Arizona can still be on the warmer side pushing us to stay indoors and get creative. Here are a few indoor spots I found in Scottsdale with free toddler activities.
Beginners Edge Sports Training (7432 E. Tierra Buena Ln)
FREE OPEN PLAY for kids 10 and under! Mondays from 10am-11am
Beginners Edge is a large indoor sports facility that has everything from basketball courts, rock climbing walls, dodge balls, and even a playroom with all sorts of toys. The staff here is amazing and so good with kids. They will have a great time and, it’s a fantastic place to get their wiggles out.
TOT TOWN, FREE for kids 5 and under! Fridays 10-11am
Tot town is a safe, self-guided play area that is set up for young kids to climb, explore and learn to play with others. This is a great way to get your little toddlers to interact with other kids their age, meet new moms, and did I mention it was free?

Scottsdale Public Libraries
The Scottsdale Public Libraries will start back up with all of their kids’ classes in September. I looked around at some of the classes they are offering and a few stood out.
BUBBLE MAGIC- Kids will get to play and make Bubbles at Civic Center Library on September 9th from 4-4:30.
Stay and Play- Read stories and explore new toys and friends at Civic Center Library September 7th 10:30-12:00pm.
Story Stop- The ever so fun story times that kids always love are back and at Mustang Library Mondays 10:30-11:00am
Centrestage Dance Studio (Free Toddler Dance class)
Every Tuesday Centrestage has a fun and active dance class that is FREE for kids walking-2.5 years old. This class is from 9:30-10am and taught by the BEST teachers that are amazing with the little kids. Both girls and boys are welcome, and no dance attire is required.
