Fireworks, Food and Fun! 4th of July in Scottsdale and Surrounding Areas

1

Let’s Celebrate Independence Day!

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays! I love that it is a time to gather with family and friends, but in a more laid back style rather than the hustle of the winter holiday season.

Where concessions are not available, load up the cooler and some lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy a picnic. Check out this past post from Scottsdale Moms for some inspiration to elevate your picnic from the standard sandwich route.

Here is a list of valley celebrations and fireworks. Note: all of these events are having fireworks after dark, many you may be able to see from homes or parks in the area for free, but in order to get into the actual park/event where the fireworks take place, some require a ticket purchase.

Hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday!
(Not all events listed will take place on July 4th, check the websites!)

Perhaps you are planning on having your own fireworks show with your neighbors. Here are just a few tips to keep in mind to keep not only the people but the environment and the neighborhood safe.

  • Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks.
  • Never try to re-light or pick-up fireworks that have not ignited fully.
  • Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy in case of fire or other mishap.
  • Make sure fireworks are legal in your area before buying or using them.
  • Light fireworks one at a time and then move back quickly.
  • Keep your pets inside; fireworks are quite terrifying for animals.

These tips and more can be found here on the City of Phoenix website. For information that pertains to City of Scottsdale fireworks rules and regulations, please click here.

Here at Scottsdale Moms, we wish you and your family a very happy and safe 4th of July celebration. Stay well hydrated out there in our famous heat!
