We have rounded up the best desserts in Scottsdale. These top dessert places around Scottsdale, Arizona will satisfy your sweet tooth!

The Screamery located at Shea Blvd and Tatum Road has handcrafted ice cream in flavors (like Bees Knees and Cowboy Cookie) that you will not find at any other place. Pasteurized on-site at their facilities with premium hormone free milk and natural ingredients with no artificial chemicals. We love the Ooey Gooey Buttercake the best, and all the seasonal flavors always pair really well with the Ooey Gooey. They also offer a Flight Of Ice Cream and other Sundaes that would make any day a celebration type of day.

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream is known as the best ice cream in the world and we have to say we agree that this shop offers amazing ice cream. We love that they have more flavors than you could even count. The scoops are extra large and we think you will agree that the ice cream is truly delicious. The newest valley location is at Pima and Bell Road.

Small cakes from buttacakes
Butta Cakes in Scottsdale’s Grayhawk Plaza offers delicious and decadent bite sized, cupcake-like cakes that are full of rich flavors, and there are so many to choose from. For the holidays, there are also six-inch cakes in these flavors: pumpkin, chocolate mint, pecan pie, and chocolate mousse. Online ordering makes it easy for picking up or for local delivery.

JL Patisserie provides the next-best thing when you can’t jet to Paris for an authentic French bakery experience. Jenna Leurquin, the chef and bakery owner, creates high-quality and beautiful delicacies such as breads, cakes, pies, croissants, macarons, and quiches. There are now two locations, one on Central Ave in Phoenix, and the other on Shea Blvd in Scottsdale. This is one of our favorite places to pick up gorgeous mini desserts and macarons for hostess gifts and celebrations. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with anything you order here.

Crumbl Cookies has 17 locations throughout Arizona, so there’s bound to be one near you. Each week, their cookie menu rotates to provide 4 different specialty flavors, along with their famous milk chocolate chip and chilled sugar cookies, which are always available. These cookies are huge and delicious, and easily accessible via in-store purchase, curbside pick-up, or shipped right to your doorstep. They also offer ice cream.

Cinnaholic is a brand new cinnamon roll cafe located at Via De Ventura and the 101. They offer specialty cinnamon rolls that are so rich and decadent. We love the Baby Buns by the dozen so we can try the different flavors in bite sized portions. They have unique flavors like Caramel Apple Pie and Campfire Smores, or you can customize your own cinnamon roll however you please.

Chocolate Milkshake from the Soda Jerk

Soda Jerk Co. Milkshake Bar blends up killer milkshakes and floats that you have to see to believe. These over-the-top creations are not only tasty and Instagram-worthy, they are enormous and easily feed two adults. Guaranteed to delight kids of all ages, head to High Street next to Desert Ridge Marketplace to experience these yummy treats and then stroll around once you’ve filled your bellies. (And shhh…They also have a secret escape room you can book for parties or family fun.)

Waffle Cone from desserts in the desert

Dessert in Desert Café offers unique Asian desserts that you may never have heard of but need to try. A few examples are Snowmilk Flaked Ice, a classic Korean dessert that consists of shaved ice with condensed milk, loaded with a variety of toppings; Taiyaki, a Japanese fish-shaped cake with filling options of red bean, custard, Nutella, or cream cheese; Cotton cheesecake, a homemade Japanese-style cheesecake that has a fluffier, sponge-like texture than classic cheesecake; and Tornado potatoes, a popular street food in Korea, which is a deep fried spiral-cut whole potato on a skewer with various seasonings such as Garlic Parmesan, Sour Cream Onion, and Salted Vinegar.

Sugar Bowl is found in Old Town Scottsdale and has been our go-to ice cream parlor for retro inspired malts and milkshakes. The sandwich and ice cream shop has not changed much since it opened over 60 years ago, but this is definitely part of its charm. The kids love the games and the ice cream sundaes (of course). We love the nostalgia of it all. It is a great “treat place” if you have grandparents in town.

Luna Gelateria is found in Gainey Ranch next to Pomo Italian. They serve authentic Italian gelato that tastes just like the gelato found in Italy. The flavors are all authentic. We love that the gelato portions are all tiny, but so flavorful, you only need a little bit to feel like you are being treated. They have inside and outside seating available.
