4 Reasons You Should Stay at Hotel Lulu in Anaheim, California

0
Thank you Hotel Lulu for inviting Scottsdale Moms for a getaway! We had a wonderful time and absolutely recommend your hotel!

Last weekend my family enjoyed a visit to Disneyland! We were invited to stay at the family friendly Hotel Lulu in Anaheim, California. This BW Premier Collection by Best Western property received a complete refurbishment in May 2021.

Although our time was much too short (I mean, do the kids really have to go to school?!), we loved every minute of our stay there. I’ve listed my favorite things about Hotel Lulu below, to help anyone else trying to plan a family trip to Disneyland.

Only a seven minute walk to Disneyland from Hotel Lulu

When you begin to research a trip to Disneyland, you will find one piece of advice over and over – stay close to the park!

The convenience of this hotel is perfect for families! For 2 adults, 3 children, and one stroller loaded with water and juice, it was seven minutes from the lobby of Hotel Lulu to the gates of Disneyland.

The hotel is next door to a Walgreens, Starbucks, iHop, and more!

And if you want to save your walking for inside the park, the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) trolley stop is just outside the front lobby.

Lulu’s Kitchen

We arrived at 7:30pm the first night and we were hungry – bordering on hangry to be honest!

We immediately asked about their dining options and Lulu’s Kitchen did not disappoint!

The service was fantastic. We ate poolside with the kids while they enjoyed their own very special signature slushie. Lulu’s Kitchen offers snackable, shareable plates. If you would prefer to eat in the privacy of your room, you are welcome to opt for the restaurant’s pick-up dining service.

Comfortable Rooms at Hotel Lulu

Every parent knows that the rooms must be comfortable, clean, and quiet. If we are going to see the Mouse himself, we need our beauty rest (and sanity!).

The beds were incredibly comfortable. We had one adult with two children in one of their double queen rooms. In the other room with one king bed, we had one adult and one child. Everyone slept perfectly and woke up ready to run to the castle!

The Outdoor Pool

Look at all the options they offer! We stayed at the park until late, so we didn’t do any of the activities listed below, but it was wonderful to know about these fun activities.

  • Craft Time With Lulu: Let Hotel Lulu inspire your kid’s artistic side with arts and crafts at the pool. Offered nightly from 4:00pm-6:00pm by the poolside bar.
  • Dive-In Movies: After sunshine-drenched days in the park, guests can cool off with a dive-in movie at the pool, where they can grab a floatie and a drink to catch their favorite flicks in the water. Offered nightly from 8:00pm-10:00pm by the poolside bar (season and weather permitting).
  • Pool Deck Wine Reception: Adults deserve to have their share of fun and what better way than hosted happy hour at the pool deck? Kids are welcome – they’ll even have their own special drink on draft. Offered nightly from 4:00pm-6:00pm by the poolside bar.
