Hi friends! How do you feel about bath time? I’m going to come clean…I don’t enjoy it. Most of the time I feel like I’m rushing to get it over with. I just want to get down to business and get my kids cleaned and then get them out. I’m not very fun when it comes to baths. I have three kids with ages spanning from 9 months to (almost) 6, it’s hard to make them all happy. Don’t get me started on managing bath time along with all the other things that need to be done at the same time (ahem: dinner, the get ready for bed chaos, clean up, etc.). And, truly, I feel like I just sit there while they play and splash an inordinate amount of water over the sides of the tub. Time to add a little splash to your bath!
Enter Yookidoo Sensory Bath Mobile.
It sounds so silly to say that a Bath Mobile was revolutionary for bath time. Revolutionary is a bit dramatic, I’ll admit. I still don’t love bath time. However, it gives the bath an extra element of fun for each of my kids and keeps them all engaged. At least for a little bit (I’ll take it)!
Hear me out. It says it’s for 0-2 years old, but my 5 year old and 3 year old turn it on immediately upon entering the bath. It’s always the center of their play…a waterfall, a drinking hole, or lava spewing and about to engulf their “guys.” Don’t get me wrong, my 9 month old loves it too. She squeals at the moving parts and loves splashing in the water. We put it up a few weeks ago and I can’t imagine taking it down anytime soon. Honestly, I thought that it would work great, but then putter out the way most water toys do. Water toys tend to be short lived, am I right? This toy, though, feels quality. It works just as good as the first day we got it. It’s very easy to stick it right onto the tub, but you also have the option of connecting it to a baby’s bath by screwing it on. The water pressure is adjustable, and you turn the water on and off by pushing the bird. There are also lots of moving parts. It’s a win for me. We love our Yookidoo Sensory Bath Mobile!
Two other baby items that are worth a mention are The Willow Pillow, which is a bib that will also help hold your baby’s bottle (WHAT!?), and the KeaBabies wrap. I don’t know about you, but I don’t know what I would do without a wrap for my babe. I would get nothing done! I feel like wraps are especially useful for those days when baby wants to be close to you, but you need to get things done. Baby number three has lived in her wrap and LOVES it (and so do I).
