Bargain Kids Clothes Shopping in Scottsdale

3

I must admit, there are few things cuter in life than an adorable baby in an adorable outfit. I also must admit that I am super cheap and usually don’t want to spend the normal amount of money it would take to get said outfit. I think a lot of people think that places like Target or Walmart are great deals for clothes for kids, and sometimes they are- but you need to know- you can find better and cheaper clothes elsewhere. Living in Phoenix we are lucky. I mean it! For many reasons, but one of my most favorite reasons? We have Last Chance.

If you have never braved the crowds of Last Chance you have been sorely missing out. Yes, it is madness. Yes, there are a bunch of ladies who go everyday to re-sell items and they are pushy and mean. However, you get Nordstroms quality of clothing for cheaper than Walmart pricing. How can you argue with that?! For those of you who live under a shopping rock, Last Chance is located off the 51 and Camelback {Colter}. It is where all returns, overstock, and whatever else Nordstrom isn’t wanting anymore go to. It sells clothes, shoes, handbags, kids clothes {AND items!}, homegoods, etc. You end up paying $5.97 for something that at Nordstrom costs $50ish. You pay $29.97 for designer jeans that cost $200+. And the sales, oh those are even more ridiculous. Nice tees, tanks, whatever for $.97. Unlike Nordstrom having the worlds best return policy, there are no returns or exchanges. In the ten years I have been shopping there, I have had a few buyers remorse times, but I have either sold it or gave it as a gift later!

Want the cost of an average full {awesome brand and quality} outfit from Last Chance? Baby Toms- $12. Little Peanut long sleeve shirt $3.97. Peek jeans $5.97. $21 for an outfit that would normally cost you $100. You might be able to find those three items for somewhat similar price at Walmart, but the quality difference is huge.

Ok, enough about Last Chance, want other stores in the valley that are full of great deals?

Hissyfits re-sale. They have two locations, one in Phoenix and one in Old Town Scottsdale. Both are chock full of the cutest clothes for great prices. They, more than any other resale place i’ve been to, are very serious about the quality of clothes they take, so you won’t be sifting through damaged goods.

Smarty Pants, Kid to Kid, and Little Jewels are other resale shops that are great. They sometimes are hit or miss, but when you hit- its awesome! The best thing about resale is you can bring in your stuff, get credit, and walk out with new-to-you goodies!

I know this isn’t local, but if y’all haven’t checked out Thred Up yet, you must! Its basically an online resale shop. They send you a bag and you fill it with all the clothes you are wanting to sell, and they approve items and list them for you. It literally makes it fool-proof! Sweetest part? If you are simply wanting to get rid of the clothes and not needing the money from it, you can still send it in and donate the proceeds to a charity.

I hope you local ladies visit some of these shops and find great deals! I almost feel like I shouldn’t publish this, so I can selfishly keep all of these spots a secret;) Just kidding…kinda.
