A New Concert Venue

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. . . well, ok, it’s beginning to look like spring if you were anywhere other than the desert.  But the fake trees in Costco let me know it’s coming!  Christmas is only 44 days away!!  I don’t know about you, but my kids, even my extended family aren’t challenging to find gifts for.  My hubby, on the other hand, is.  He is super simple.  So his wish list has big ticket items like renovating the backyard.  Hmm, hard to gift wrap.  Not to mention, not in the budget.  Otherwise, there is very little he wants or needs.  Being a musician and a lover of the arts, though, I know just what to get him!

I have a new local treasure.  I am sharing this with you not because they asked me to do a review or because I have anything to gain in this.  Simply one mom sharing with my mommy friends a unique gift idea.  🙂

Concert Tickets.  It is his top choice for a date night.  This year, I’ll be getting him tickets only to Phoenix’s newest venue, the Crescent Ballroom.  Having just opened its doors this fall, it does not disappoint.  It is intimate without feeling crowded.  I am certain it will soon become a gem of Phoenix.  From their website:

Crescent Ballroom is three things. It’s a mid-size music venue in Downtown Phoenix able to accommodate crowds in the 400-500 range. Crescent Ballroom also is a Lounge, open daily with full-bar service, a kitchen, and free live music everyday. The final component is Cocina 10, our kitchen, featuring a unique menu hand-crafted and operated by Chris Bianco, of Pizzeria Bianco, and Doug Robson, of Gallo Blanco.

Everything about their description is fantastic.  And let’s face it, anything Chris Bianco is a part of is always done with excellence.  The tickets are all general admission and therefore a much more reasonable outing.  I have yet to see a ticket over $15!  Love fun that doesn’t break the bank!  This could also be an excellent date night.  Tomorrow, for instance, we are going to see Scottsdale’s own The Technicolors there.  Even if you have a the perfect Christmas gift already picked out, this destination should definitely be on your to-do list for 2012.

What about you? Have you found the perfect hubby gift yet?
