Top 10 Date Night Restaurants

4

In honor of how much I LOVE date nights I thought I’d highlight my very favorite restaurants in a Top 10 List fashion.

Cause everyone loves a Top 10 List, right?!

1. Elements. This is one of my most favorite “special occasion” restaurants in the Valley.  The scenery is drop-dead gorgeous and the food is spectacular.

2. Sassi. There’s no need to spend a fortune on airline tickets to Italy when you have a perfect little Italian villa in Scottsdale – Sassi. With its first-rate Italian cuisine, Sassi’s southern Italian menu is to die for…not to mention the GORGEOUS scenery. Definitely a must try for all you momma’s!

3. Caffe Boa.  I love everything about this place… from the brick walls (which are hard to come by in a new city like Phoenix), to the rosemary tied to your napkin, to the most delicious food…Caffe Boa certainly has my heart (and tummy).

4. The Herb Box {Old Town & DC Ranch} – This is one of the very few places that I’ll go back to time and time again because it’s just that good. Be sure to try the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese…to-die-for!!!

5. Los Sombreros. After visiting 20+ Valley area Mexican restaurants, we’ve found our favorite! Los Sombreros is the cutest little place and is big on charm. Specializing in regional Mexican food, Los Sombreros offers some of the best authentic Mexican food in the Phoenix area.

6. Delux Burger. My mouth just waters thinking about their out-of-this-world tasting Delux Burger and Sweet Potato Fries.  Must go soon. K, honey?!

7. Pizzeria Bianco.  If you’re craving pizza – this is your place!  Known as one of the best pizzeria’s in the country (yes – I did say country!), Pizzeria Bianco has been rated number one in the US by Bon Appétit, the New York Times and Vogue.

8. The Vig. Quite possibly one of my new favorite eateries in my favorite neighborhood – Arcadia.  From Halibut ceviche to Honey glazed salmon the menu is much more upscale than just a neighbourhood bar.

9. Sapporo Scottsdale.  Sapporo has quickly become one of our go-to date night options if we’re looking for sushi.  What’s not to love about their all night happy hour summer specials?!

10. Postino’s Wine Cafe {Arcadia & Central}.  I had to save the best for last.  In my opinion.  One or two glasses of wine combined with their delicious bruschetta with Prosciutto with Figs & Mascarpone or Brie and Apples with Fig Spread makes Postino’s one word – AMAZING!

  1. Great Date Night picks! I also love Andrioli’s Italian Grocer….you think it’s just a grocer, but it’s also a charming and intimate restaurant with THE MOST amazing Italian food.

One way hubby and I save money on date nights is to make it a date DAY and do a lunch instead of a dinner. He doesn’t go into the office on Friday’s so while the kids are in school, we get to have that one meal a week without interruptions. If you can swing a lunch date, I highly recommend it. Thanks for sharing your great tips.

    Warmly,

    Kirin

  2. Great post, Steph! I would have to add two places in Carefree to this list (just heading up there feels like a getaway 🙂 ). Cafe Bink is a toned-down version of Binkley’s (often rated the Valley’s most romantic restaurant) where the prices are more wallet-friendly but the cuisine is just as good. And we LOVE Carefree Station – especially eating on the rooftop patio with all the pretty lights. Both these places feel so LOCAL and lovely. Worth the drive up North!

  3. We love to do a daytime date at Ipic Theatres. The seats are beyond comfy and we can eat from Tanzy restaurant right in the theater. The Chicken Satay is my favorite along with Panna Cotta with a draft Root Beer!
