At SMB we want to bring you information and inspiration from around the Valley and beyond. Here are some clickworthy links from around the web this week. Enjoy!

Oh. Em. Gee. Did this really happen this week? I’ve seen some crazy videos of the dust storm (and hey! we all learned a new vocab word too! HABOOB!) but this one is INSANE.

Sometimes I feel like the words I say most often throughout the day are “let’s go!”, “come on!”, and “hurry up!”. After reading this I’m inspired to just. slow. down.

I’m a sucker for good quotations about, well, about anything. Why say something myself when someone else has already said it better? This is a great collection of funny quotes about parenting from Babble’s Strollerderby.

The parenting world is always abuzz with some story or another about a mom being shamed or harassed for nursing in public (including – gasp! – our own Jess Fischer), but this takes the ridiculousness to a new extreme.

Nobody’s better than Girl’s Gone Child/Rebecca Woolf at capturing the poignant moments of parenting. Maybe it’s because I have a first day of preschool approaching in a matter of weeks, but this postsniff! – really touched me.

How do you do your online reading? Random surfing? Facebook and TwitterRSS or email subscriptions? Be sure to add Scottsdale Moms Blog to your regular reading, however you do it!

Sarah Powers is a writer and Scottsdale mom of two. She came to the valley from Southern California by way of Chicago and would take Arizona summers over Midwest winters any day. A perfect day for Sarah starts with coffee, ends with chardonnay and includes lots of baby giggles and sticky-fingered kid kisses in between. She loves high ponytails, showtunes and using her kids as an excuse to stay in and go to bed early, which she would do anyway. Sarah often tweets and sometimes blogs about the messy, tender, fun, funny and irreverent moments of parenthood.
