Friday Date Night | Fuego Tacos

For those who have read my Friday Date Night posts in the past, you know that I’m always on the look-out for a new eatery to try.  The Valley has way too many awesome restaurants to always go to the same-ole places.  Although we do have a few “staple” picks we really do try our best to make our date nights an opportunity to check out a new place.

About a month back (pre-Elsie), we did just that.  We planned to meet some friends at Fuego Tacos.  I’d heard such awesome things about Fuego Bistro and was excited to try their newest culinary adventure in the Esplanade (just across Camelback from the Biltmore).  PLUS I’d luckily found that Fuego Tacos is on Restaurant.com and I quickly snatched up a gift card when they were having their 70% off sale!  (love me a good deal)

Let me tell you ladies – we were pleasantly surprised by this little place.  From the AWESOME service to the chic-cozy decor to the affordable yet delicious food (and drinks), we left very pleased with our restaurant selection for the evening.

Between the four of us, we all ordered various taco plates and drinks.  Our favorite tacos were by far their signature Pernil Asado and the Short Rib Barbacoa.  You can read about all of their Signature Tacos here.

And drinks – who could forget the drinks?! One thing I loved about Fuego Tacos is that all drinks are $5!!  When oftentimes restaurants will charge upwards of $10+ for a drink, $5 is a great deal in my book.  And they even created a special non-alcoholic type mojito just for me! Love it!

All in all we would totally suggest that you and your hubby check out Fuego Tacos sometime soon!  Because a) everyone needs a night away from the kiddo’s every once in awhile and b) it might as well be to a delicious place like Fuego Tacos. 🙂

Happy Friday Date Night(ing)!!!
