Family Reflection Questions for 2010

0

As 2010 comes to a close, I have been thinking about how I’d like to spend the next 12 months.  By default, my husband and I LOVE to talk, talk, talk about why we do things and how we might be become better people.  I think the New Year is a great time to create new habits for a healthier life and make some decisions to help suck the marrow out of 2011.

One blog that I LOVE to read (and reference often) is SimpleMom.net.  She put together a great list of reflection questions for the past year to help us to prepare for the year ahead.  I think this list is pretty fantastic and might even be fun to ask your spouse or older kiddos some of these question.

1. What was the single best thing that happened this past year?
2. What was the single most challenging thing that happened?
3. What was an unexpected joy this past year?

4. What was an unexpected obstacle?

5. Pick three words to describe 2010.

6. With whom were your most valuable relationships?

7. What was your biggest personal change from January to December of this past year?
8. In what way(s) did you grow in your relationships with others?

9. What was biggest thing you learned this past year?

10. What was your single biggest time waster in your life this past year?10. What was the best way you used your time this past year?

11. Create a phrase or statement that describes 2010 for you.

We have had a marvelous year exploring Scottsdale with babies in tow!  I’m looking forward to 2011 and all the wonderful challenges and memories it will bring!
