Ideas for Buying Baby Shower Gifts

6

This past weekend Steph and I headed over to Moonbeams (at The Shops at Gainey Village) to find out what some of the most popular baby shower gifts are.  Since I have several baby showers coming up this summer (and into the fall), I listened intently as Karen gave us a couple of tips.  Here’s a little peak into our conversation:

Sorry that I panned over those cute items so quickly…   But, I’ll redeem myself by giving you a list of five great gifts.  We chose two “fun” gifts and two “useful” gifts… you decided for yourself which is which:

1. Aden & Anais muslin blankets – these are breathable, soft and large enough for swaddling and can be useful beyond the first year

2. Swankie Blankie hooded towels – use with newborn through grade school!

3.  Sleep Sheep – super popular!  Provides a white noise with a 20 minute timer

*

4. Charmed Closets closet organizers – these nifty little organizers tell dad which size is which (newborn-3 year)… they even sell these for adults!

5.  Hugs & Kisses Scrapbook designed by an artist – from baby’s first year through age 5 (Sorry, I don’t have a photo for this… but trust me, it’s pretty cool)

  1. Oooh! I had a Sleep Sheep with my second two babies and it was AWESOME!!! We’d take out the inside noise-machine when we traveled to provide some sense of normalcy 🙂 I’m sure there are other sleep-noise products, but this one worked really well for us. Plus, they liked the little sheep strapped to the crib. It was a good way to have a stuffed animal close without actually being in the crib (since they can be a hazard).

  3. I love the Aden & Anais blankets. They’re a must have in my opinion. They also make a perfect gift because no one else makes a blanket like them! Target carries them at a lower price but it’s hit or miss if your Target has them.
