Every momma likes to get dressed up and be treated to a romantic dinner every once in a while, right? Around our home there is always the “let’s go there for our birthdays” or “we’ll check ___________ restaurant out for our anniversary” chatter. That’s partly because we live in an area where good food is around each corner and if we were honest with ourselves – we’re wanna-be foodies. 🙂 It’s okay to admit that, right?
For the next three Friday’s I’m going to highlight three of my favorite Special Occasion Date Night Restaurants. Just in case you need a little help deciding where you’ll go for your upcoming anniversary.
First is what many would argue to be one of the most beautiful (and delicious) restaurants in the Valley – Elements Restaurant at The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort. After a recent multimillion dollar renovation, now is the time to reserve a table. Situated on the northern slope of Camelback Mountain amid the grounds of the posh Sanctuary Resort, this contemporary American restaurant is simply spectacular. It’s floor-to-ceiling windows capture the splendor of sunsets and nearby mountains, encouraging customers to relax and drink in the natural beauty from their table.
Chef Beau MacMillan presents a menu as inspired as its stunning location. The menu changes monthly, but might include entrées such as maple leaf farms duck breast with honey parsnips, buttered cabbage, duck confit , flash-fried soft shell crab served with garlic mashed potatoes and lemon beurre blanc, or Cedar River Filet of Beef wrapped in bacon and served with a balsamic onion tart, bleu cheese and roasted mushrooms.
Honey – when can we go??!! So glad our anniversary and birthdays are soon!!! Cheers!
